Recognizing the importance of worldwide networks in education, the University of Valencia has strengthened its links with universities from more than 50 countries. Also, networking is important with institutions, e.g., with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). In addition, the Universitat de València has the Air Nostrum Service Quality Professorship, created together with the airline Air Nostrum.

The University of Valencia is one of the largest, oldest and most diversified of the Spanish Universities. The University of Valencia is an extraordinarily rich organization in respect to the degrees offered, the research networks in operation, its different bodies, and the complex relations with society. According to the latest index of the University Jiaotong de Shangai, the University is 2nd equal with other Spanish Universities.

The University of Valencia aims to achieve excellence in meeting the needs of its students, stakeholders and the social community. The University of Valencia was initially dedicated to the study of medicine, the humanities, theology and law. Today, in its 5th century, our university has become a modern European University with 3,256 academic staff members integrated in 18 Faculties and Schools and 92 academic departments offering 66 undergraduate degrees, 105 PhD programs, and 78 Masters degree programs. Among them, the Degree in Tourism and the new Master in Tourism are offered.
